I was stationed at Iraklion from Dec. 1965 until July 1967. I worked Charlie Flight. The one building I remember best was the Airmans Club. How many remember the Charlie flight Christmas Party 1966? That 50 cents per payday to finance the party sure provided a lot of fun in one night. If there is anyone out there that was on Crete during the time period listed above leave me an note or send an email.

for all you guys that were stationed there, check this out:
http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=35.327897&lon=25.284643&z=17.2&r=0&src=ggl

paste that into your browser and you will see iraklion airstation, whatever it is now, from satellite a few years ago....all the buildings are still there and identifiable: the barracks, the chow hall, the compound, even the movie theatre---remember the "mid flicks"?
I was there from april 66 until october 67.....
