Before that I was with the 6922nd SG in the PI. great beach in Crete. Met a nice girl there. Her mother was an ex beauty queen married to one of the base officers. On my second tour I worked at Base Supply. I consider IAS the best assignment of my 26 year career. I drove around the base a few years ago and was saddened to see it's run down condition. Would love to hear from anyone there during that time; 6930/6931 tour was the best kept secret in the AF. I came 2T from Karamursel Air station in Turkey. IAS was a great assignment and I have many great memories of my time there. I am very proud of my service in the USAFSS during the cold war.
