Dear Friends, It has been a little while since I was here last. I have enjoyed catching up by reading the many entries that have been posted since the last time I was here. I am in the process of planning my 5th trip back to Crete in as many years. I hope that all of you will continue re-connecting with each other, and searching for old friends whom you have mis-placed. And, if any of you should happen to venture back to Crete during the months of July, August or September in 2012, please look me up in the little seaside village of Amoudara. Stationed o0n Crete from July 62 until July 64. Worked on Baker in the high speed numbers section next to the deep 6(29251) Married in April 64. Ran around with Bob Stenzel, Danny Sims and Bob Neubert.Take care all you Createns.

Now I am really beginning to believe that this site is for oldies back in the 50′s and 60′s at Crete. Somebody has to see this was at Iraklion from 1978-1980.

Hi, I just discovered this site and was surprised to find out the many changes that took place since I left Iraklion, Crete. I was a 29251 from June/60 – Dec/61. Prior to that, I was in Trabzon, Turkey (Det 3-1). I remember going to town, and after a few drinks in the square, making acquaintance with the “girls”. I also remember “The Glass House” restaurant and singing there a few times… I can say that I had the same good experience that I see many of you had in Iraklion, Crete. I was with the 6930th.

Stationed at 6930th from November 61 to November 62. Worked as a 202 in techsum prep and married a Greek girl on 14-10-62. We will celebrate our 50th next October. She was Mando and worked for a short time as a waitress in the airman’s club. Loved Crete and we have been back many times since then.

Served on Crete from July 2, 1963 until December 27, 1964. Worked days at the Pound, first for SSgt Roberts and then TSgt Burt Kahn. Great tour, lots of fun and exciting work. Best friend was and still is Ron Valasek, he worked days also.
